REQUEST FOR VIEWS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR ELEVENTH FIVE YEAR

PLAN

As a part of the process of consultation for formulation of 11^th Five Year Plan, a Steering Committee on Environment & Forests has been constituted in the Planning Commission under the Chairmanship of Prof Madhav Gadgil, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The Committee will be provided inputs on various aspects of Environment and Forests including Animal Welfare by several Working Groups and Task Forces.

Views and suggestions are invited on new and emerging issues that need to be addressed in the 11^th five year plan related to Environment, Biodiversity, Forests & Wildlife, Animal Welfare, Ecotourism and River/Lake/aquifers conservation , and the kinds of schemes that need to be formulated to deal with them. The feed back received will be considered by the consultative groups before finalizing the reports.
